FOODCODE platform presented at InnovAgorà from the 6th trough the 8th of May

IBBA- CNR will take part to the first Italian fair dedicated to patented inventions by presenting the FOODCODE platform for genetic authetication of food: raw materials and products of both aninal and plant origin. The fair InnovAgorà will be hosted at the Museum of Science and technology Leonardo da Vinci in Milan (

Supported by MIUR and organized by CNR and MUST in collaboration with il Corriere della Sera, the fair will host and present n. 170 patented inventions selected among a thousand of applications that came form University and Research Institutes.

The FOODCODE invention has been assigned space ID n. 17 under the title of Food traceability, QRcode, DNA catering, within the Bioeconomy and Agrifood section. A refreshment point where all the products will be labelled with a QRcode, delivering their actual composition on the base of the DNA analyses, will be arranged. B2B meetings with companies working in the agrifodd sector and interested in the usage of the Foodcode platform will also take place.
