Professional experience

2023–Present: Researcher at the CNR – Institute of Agricultural Biology and Biotechnology; research activity in genetics and biotechnology for the improvement of legume crops, with a focus on nutritional quality and stress tolerance.

2023: Researcher (SSD: BIO/01 –Botany) at the University of Milan; research activity in genome editing for rice genetic improvement.

2019–2023: Postdoctoral Researcher at the CNR – Institute of Agricultural Biology and Biotechnology; research in plant genetics and molecular biology with applications in biorefinery (cultivated cardoon) and in the study of biodiversity and domestication processes (legumes). Visiting researcher at EMBRAPA – Genetic Resources and Biotechnology (Brazil).

2016–2019: Postdoctoral Researcher at CREA – Engineering for Agro-food Processing and CREA – Animal Production and Aquaculture; research activity in analytical chemistry applied to agro-food quality in horticultural crops (tomato, pepper) and evaluation of the fertilizing potential of cover crops in maize systems.

2011–2015: Research activity at the University of Milan during PhD studies, focusing on the genetic basis of plant developmental biology. Visiting researcher at the University of Tübingen – Center for Plant Molecular Biology (ZMBP) (Germany), John Innes Centre (UK), and CNRS – Institute of Plant Molecular Biology (France).
